Editorial policy
Bold Festival Review aims to publish clear, accurate and independent writing about festival culture. We distinguish explanation from opinion, take care with claims and make changes when a published article needs correction.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against information available to us and use precise wording where details may differ between festivals. Articles should make their scope clear and avoid presenting general suggestions as rules for every event. We do not invent sources, quotations, experiences or credentials. Where an article cannot establish a detail, it should say so rather than imply certainty.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are kept distinct from commercial arrangements. Payment or another material relationship does not guarantee coverage or a favourable view. Sponsored or partner material is labelled clearly so readers can identify it before engaging with the content. Partnerships do not grant a partner control over independent editorial coverage.
Corrections and updates
If you think an article contains an error, contact us with its title and the detail in question. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, amend the article in a way that makes a meaningful correction clear. We may also update articles when relevant information changes, while keeping the distinction between a correction and a later update understandable.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be AI-generated. We identify AI-generated illustrations where they appear and do not present them as documentary photographs or evidence of a real festival, person or event.
A festival is made of many small choices
The programme matters, but so do the pauses, paths and shared customs around it. We look closely at these details to make festival culture easier to understand and enjoy.
